Ditch the Crowds: Why Quality Roster Size is Your Advantage at Team Illinois Volleyball
Tired of feeling like a face in a sea of players?
At many large clubs, the focus is on maximizing enrollment, which often leads to huge rosters, overcrowded practices, and limited court time for individual athletes. For the 2025-2026 season, Team Illinois Volleyball (TIV) is rejecting that model with a clear commitment to Quality over Quantity.
The TIV Difference: Max 12 Players Per Team
For our High School Regional Club program (Ages 15-18), we are strictly limiting our teams to a maximum of 12 players. This small-roster philosophy isn't just a number—it’s a promise to your athlete's development:
More Repetitions, Faster Improvement: With fewer players vying for spots in a drill, your daughter will get significantly more touches on the ball. Practice is where the biggest improvements are made, and smaller groups ensure maximum engagement and activity.
Individualized Coaching Focus: Our coaches can spend more time providing specific, individualized feedback to each player. They can correct technique in real-time and tailor their instruction, moving beyond general team direction.
Meaningful Playing Time: While playing time is always earned, a smaller roster guarantees that every athlete is a critical component of the team's success, leading to more consistent and meaningful court experience in tournaments.
When you choose TIV, you're not choosing a club that views your athlete as just another number. You're choosing a program where attention, development, and a premium practice experience are guaranteed.
