15U Girls Club Volleyball in Wood Dale, IL
2026-2027 season. Tryout Saturday, November 7, 2026.
Team Illinois Volleyball is a small, family-first girls club volleyball program at Wood Dale Park District. Families drive in from Elgin, Streamwood, Carol Stream, Bartlett and Hanover Park, and some come all the way from Evanston and Chicago, because they want a club where their daughter is known by name, gets real coaching and still loves the game in March.
Who plays 15U in 2026-2027
Under USA Volleyball's 2026-2027 age definitions, 15U is for players born on or after July 1, 2011. Most girls at this age are in 9th grade.
For a lot of 15U girls this is the first club season, and that is exactly who we built this club for. Nobody gets lost on a big roster, and every girl gets real reps and real coaching.
Girls born on or after July 1, 2012 are 14U. We don't run a 14U team, but a younger player can play up to 15U after a conversation with her parents, our Club Director and our Head Coach. Not sure which age level your daughter falls in? Check our age level guide.
What the 15U season looks like
At 15U we cross-train every position before anyone gets locked into one. Passing, serving, setting and hitting fundamentals come first, because a girl who learns the whole game now has more options at 16U and on her high school team.
- 15U players train on our 15/16 team. We fill 2 to 4 teams depending on tryout turnout.
- No more than 12 players per team, so she gets reps at every practice.
- Practices Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30pm, at Wood Dale Park District.
- Season runs from the beginning of December to mid-March.
- We play in the Chicago Volleyball League, 8 play dates.
- Multi-sport athletes are welcome.
